Job Description :
Job Summary:
The Purchasing/Inventory Agent of Straith Hospital will be the primary individual for the Materials Management department. This individual will be in charge of ordering, receiving, stocking their respective departments, maintaining proper inventory levels and facilitating any departmental supply needs throughout the day. Being very precise and accurate with their daily functions is a necessity.
Qualifications:
1. Associates degree in business related field, or relative coursework or 2-3 year’s experience
2. Knowledge of common hospital products is required
3. Exceptional communication skill
4. Familiar and comfortable with Microsoft excel
5. Basic knowledge of IT support functions
Responsibilities:
1. Performs receiving function upon delivery of ordered supplies;
2. Delivers special order items to the requesting department;
3. Delivers received items to storeroom and restock shelves;
4. Reviews computer generated storeroom purchase orders and addresses any issues that come about;
5. Monitors supply expiration dates and follows expired date policy;
6. Provides shipping service for all returns and repairs;
7. Ensures that supply distribution equipment is kept in good working order;
8. Maintains a clean, neat and safe storeroom;
9. Management of inventory system;
10. Fills storeroom supply requisitions, electronic requisitions and maintains specific departmental par level systems;
11. Provides up to date changes for supply requisition process;
12. Completes purchase orders upon receipt of goods;
13. Collects and maintains Safety Data Sheets per hospital policy;
14. Responsible for posting of all outgoing mail;
15. Responsible for the ordering of all supplies;
16. Provides information to hospital departments concerning status of ordered supplies;
17. Troubleshoot issues with vendors and department heads per backorders or supply issues;
18. Records Medication Refrigerator, freezer and storeroom temperature;
19. Assist other members of department as needed;
20. Communicates with other staff members about changes or issues within the department;
21. Assist with miscellaneous hospital projects;
22. Manages hospital GPO contracts;
23. Assists in departmental compliance with Joint Commission, Medicare Conditions of Participation; State standards; and Federal standards;
24. Demonstrates the ability to identify and solve problems; using initiative and sound judgment to reach decisions;

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
